Membership Enquiries

Alderley Edge is a private members club, providing all members with fine facilities for golf, along with an excellent social scene. We are particularly proud of the true 'club' spirit we have engendered over many years at Alderley, with a real emphasis on providing an environment where members can fully enjoy the game of golf and the social opportunities a club can offer. Alderley has adopted 'equal governance', therefore ladies as well as men have full voting rights and are represented on committees.

We currently have some 250 male members, 55 ladies, and 75 juniors. The men hold competitions every Saturday between April and October, have teams in inter-club tournaments and also operate a very enjoyable Winter League. There is a strong Seniors' section who play regular matches with local clubs.

Our Ladies' section has a very full calendar of competitive golf. Up to 40 ladies compete every Tuesday, including a small group of business ladies who play on Tuesday evenings. They run 2 teams in the East Cheshire League, and a third team who play friendlies.

Our Junior section is very strong, competing in club events, area knock-out competitions and a Cheshire Junior League.

We currently have vacancies for membership, although currently there is a waiting list for male Juniors.

We have introduced temporary membership categories, for those who are either working in the area for a limited time, or who want to try the game without committing to full club membership.
