Closing Sides 2006

Sides matches are always great fun and this one was particularly good. With the biggest turn out for ages and warm sunshine, the scene was set for an excellent evening. With Phil Hetherington making a nostalgic return as MC a faux-pas was inevitable and he took three attempts before he correctly introduced the losing team captain. Classic stuff from Mr Pastry. For the record, the President's team were 10-8 winners.

Excellent speeches. Great banter. A superb end to the competition season and a particularly good year with Mr Foden at the helm.
