This years match was played in winds of over 70 mph, making it difficult to even stand up.......an effect which does not usually apply until later in the evening !

The President's team won, by 8 1/2 points to 7 1/2.

The best golf came in match 2, where Gary Johnstone somehow managed to get to the turn in just 36 strokes. Let's hope he's peaked too early this season. Brian Boughey very nearly had a large drinks bill, his tee shot on the 4th pitching full toss straight into the cup, but unfortunately spinning out.
