President's Prize 2004

Just hours before this years President's Day, large parts of the course were under water following days of incessant rain. The downpour relented, however, and 85 members enjoyed a hot, sultry day of golf.

With the course playing about as long as it can do, it was no surprise that Big Steve Williamson shot a gross 69. There were several other excellent gross scores including 71s from Gary Johnstone and Brian Boughey.

It was Steve Smith, however, that took the honours with an excellent 77 - 13 = 64, beating Steve Williamson on a card play off over the last 3 holes.
