President's Putter Final 2003

This year's final saw a big-hitting confrontation between Club Champion, Stephen Williamson and Tony Osborne. Playing in a strong wind on Monday 22nd September, this was a close encounter throughout. Tony got back to 1 down after winning the 15th with a 3, but lost the next to a par after pushing his drive almost into the Black Brook.

Stephen needed a 4 iron to reach the 17th green [it's a strong wind when he need that much club !]. He hit a superb iron shot right over the flag to just 12 feet. Tony also hit an excellent shot, but could not hole the birdie putt, leaving Stephen with 2 putts for the match.
