A WEEK TO GO......GET REGISTERED
There will be a major change to the members' area of this web site on 25th March. It will mean that members must register and log in to access the area.
Please read the full article here and then register. You will receive confirmation of your registration shortly before the 25th after which you must log in.
There are over 50 members who have registered as of 16th March, so that means there are lots who haven't. You can register of course at any time but will have to wait for your registration to be approved before you can access the member's area.
Centenary Opening Sides
The
traditional season-opening match took place on March 17th, and resulted
in a win for the Captain's team.
Centenary Trophy
The Centenary Trophy, kindly donated by Margaret and Graham Sumner, is a competition open to all playing sections in the club except Country members. It will be played on Sun 29th July 2007, with a field limited to 100. Each section [Men, Ladies and Seniors] will publish their dates for qualifying rounds. Who will be first to have their name on the new honours board ???
Mats
The Greens Committee have decided that fairway mats will continue to be used until 31st March when they will be discontinued, unless conditions dictate otherwise.
Centenary Ball
See Brian Foden for tickets to the Centenary Ball on 28th July. This is a black tie event.
Walled Garden
The
Captain and in fact all members will be pleased to congratulate Christine
Copeland on her superb landscaping, which has transfomed the Centenary
Wall into a really attractive monument
on the first tee.
Alliance Team Knock Outs
On Sunday April 1st we have a busy schedule. At 9am we host Rochdale
in the Dunham Forest Trophy first round. It’s 34 years since we
made the final....how good would it be to go all the way in our Centenary
year ?!
In the afternoon, we play Blackburn in the Archie Preston Mixed Foursomes,
also at home.
On Saturday 24th March the men’s foursomes team travel to Disley
for the Alliance Foursomes.
Let’s hope for a good run in all team events this year.....we
are certainly due !
