General Club Noticeboard

Why not join us at the club on Thursday 25 May for an entertaining evening sampling fine wines and delicious tapas.  As well as two sommeliers from Majestic Wine with 8 superb wines, there will also be 16 tasty tapas to excite your palate.

A superb eveining is in store.  It starts at 7:30 pm and the cost is £15. To reserve your place, ask at the bar or contact Chris Hoyland at the club for more details on 01625 586200 (option 5).

Look out for posters around the clubhouse giving you all the details.

The upgrade to the course irrigation system will continue on Monday 24th and Thursday 27th April. Please be reminded that when the contractors are working on a hole that hole is closed.

On Wednesday 19th April Charles our Pro organised Titleist to set up at AEGC.  This was so that our Members and Visitors alike could chat to the Titliest team regarding the merits of the various types of golf balls they supply in relation to the individual's game.

The photos is of some of the 24 regulars who rolled-up on Wednesday together with the Titleist Team at AEGC. 

The annual Seniors v Ladies match was played on Friday 7th April and six teams set out at 9.00am for a shotgun start on a rather chilly morning.  The event was originally instigated by past Lady Captain Yvonne Greenhill as an opportunity at the beginning of the season to get Match Ready. It seems the Seniors had stolen a march on the Ladies in this respect and won the match convincingly.  In spite of the result the match was enjoyed by all the players and was followed by lunch in the club house where Yvonne Greenhill presented the trophy to the Senior's team captain John Williams.
