Clubhouse Outsourcing Opportunity
The following advertisement will shortly appear in trade media. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please ask them to respond to the advertisement, or contact a member of Council to register their interest, via the office email address shown below.
“Alderley Edge Golf Club is a warm and friendly club with approximately 600 members and a reputation for informality and good social amenities. Our members and visitors expect a varied selection of good quality food and drink to be available daily; in addition, the club provides hospitality for a large number of social functions, inter-club matches, society bookings and private events throughout the year.
We are currently looking to outsource the running of our bar and catering services to an experienced business partner who would be keen to maximise the potential of our facilities for mutual benefit. There is significant opportunity for attracting new business from both the local community and further afield.
It would be beneficial, though not essential, to have some understanding of golf clubs and their traditions, and the successful candidate will be fully conversant with all current food safety standards and other applicable hospitality regulations. They will also be responsible for employing all of the bar and catering staff and the provision of all supplies and ancillary services required to run a successful operation.
There is optional live-in accommodation on site as well as a fully fitted, professional kitchen.
The successful candidate will:
- be fully engaged with the club’s management team, members and event organisers
- provide quality, good value and consistent catering and bar services at all times
- on many occasions be the first point of contact for visitors to the club.
If this exciting opportunity is of interest, please email personal details, CV and covering letter for the attention of The Secretary to office@aegc.co.uk .”

Golfercise
The hour long session of Golfercise held last week turned out to be popular, where those golfers keen to find out how to strengthen and stretch their physiques to prime them for the golf season were put through their paces by Liv Brewster and Matt Cresey.
Liv introduced everyone to some basic Pilates moves, and then Matt encouraged everyone to have a go at some bodyweight exercises. Sounds of achievement and exertion mingled, but everyone agreed it had been enjoyable.
There are plans to start a Pilates group on Thursdays at 3.30pm. Watch out for details coming soon. If anyone would like any fitness advice, Matt Cresey would be very happy to help.
