June Match reports

9 hole league 04/06

AEGC played Hazelgrove in the 9 hole league and narrowly lost by 3 points.
Alison Roberts played with Claire Roberts, Liz Gardner played with Mary O’Toole and Mo Monk played with LP Yvonne Grundy.
The weather was fantastic and the course very interesting. All the matches were enjoyable and a good time had by all

Business Ladies 06/06

The BL team met High Legh for an away match. The beautiful weather lead to a flurry of discussion about team colours  The summer option of white shorts was discussed and discarded, maybe next week?? The course was in very good condition and the AEGC ladies won 2 games and lost one. Over all win for AEGC.

Business Ladies 13/06

The BL team played a home match v Tytherington in perfect conditions, beautiful wather and course in fab condition  The match was lost 2-1, it might have been a different story if a Tytherington player hadn’t chipped in from half way to the car park for a birdie, to win the hole and therefore the match  It was a brilliant shot though!

B Team 14/06

Unfortunately this match got off to a difficult start. The B team were away to Chorlton and due to a misunderstanding of the tee times between the match secretaries, AEGC were considered to have arrived too late for the first game to go ahead. Undaunted, fired up the team rose to the challenge and beat the home side 4 games to 3

Business Ladies 19/06

The BL team played their away match at Alsager, it was their 3rd weekend match in succession and the second in a week as this was played on a Saturday, the conditions were great and the team enjoyed the course. Each game was close, but unfortunately all three games went to the home side.

20/06 Bell Cup

AEGC were drawn at home for the second round of the Bell Cup and welcomed Manchester Hopwood. The ladies very well, seemingly undaunted facing a team of low handicappers and wone the match by 6 games to 1. It was good to welcome back to the team Sue K, who had been injured at the start of the season. Great win Ladies
