Alderley Edge Golf Club
Following the heat of recent days it was an ideal day for the President’s Day at AEGC. Pete Wood, the President, welcomed all the players on the day with a Titleist Ball and a photo with each group of players. Conditions were ideal on the course which is in great condition (thanks to the Greenstaff) and the scores reflected this.
After all the players had enjoyed a complimentary drink or two, the President gave the excellent prizes from the Professional Shop (thanks Charles) and there was a count back checked by our Gents Golf checker on the day, John Newsham.
There were 7 two’s of which Greg Wilmott had two receiving £27.50 approx.
Steve Bell finished 4th with 39 points, Nick Blackburn 39 points (playing off 4) Hansel Allen was second on 40 points and the winner on the day was Brian Jones with 40 points but a better last 6.
Pete thanked all the Bar Staff for their input in the day and all the VPs, Gents and Guests for attending the early evening presentation.
