Alderley Edge Golf ClubThank you to everyone who entered my Pro’s Day this year, a great days weather. Despite the lack of rain the greens were in great condition, thanks to the greenkeepers’ hard work this week ensuring they get hand watered everyday.
The scoring was excellent with 6 players breaking their handicap. Drew Roberts came third with 39 points including a 2 on the 10th! Steve Bennett came second narrowly beating Drew on a card playoff. In first place was Brian Foden with 42, 23 of which were on the back nine.
There were three nearest the pin prizes on the back nine. They were won by Vidal Spaine (13th), Paul Penney (6th) and Logan Stanyer (17th).
There were nine 2’s on the day worth £10.33 for Duncan Macpherson, Brian Child, Mike O’Regan, Drew Roberts (2), Greg Wilmott, Ken Hall (2) and Craig Abbotson.
All prizes will be presented at the next monthly presentation on Friday 5th August
