Alderley Edge Golf ClubIt was a close call, with the score in at three wins each, but it was Lymm with the happy face as the final fourball returned to the club house with the win for the visitors, making the result 4-3. All the matches were played in a very friendly but competitive manner, despite a few testing pin positions on the second and the seventh to keep us on our toes. Mr Captain was struggling with an injury and had brought in his proxy, Dave Lee, who along with Valerie Hornsby registered one of Alderley's wins, which John was very quick to claim as his own! It is a really enjoyable knockout competition to be a part of, and it is a shame that we won't be advancing further, but we wished Lymm every success in future rounds.
