Lady President's Prize 03/09/2024 RESULTS
The Lady President's Major and the 9 hole competitions held on Tuesday 3rd September were well supported with 22 ladies in total entering.
The first group teed off at 9.30 with grey skies and the course slightly damp, it soon became a sunny and warm day, ideal for a day's golf. The course was in fabulous condition and our thanks go to the Green Staff for preparing the course for the event.
Congratulations go to Jean Walker, the winner of The Lady President's Prize with 37 points.
In 2nd place was Liz Gardner with 35 points and in 3rd place was Lesley Fowler also with 35 points.
Congratulations to Fiona Anderson, the winner of the 9 Hole competition with 21 points.

ALDERLEY KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS-SEPTEMBER FINALS!!!!
At AEGC we have 4 competitions running that will ALL conclude this September.
After a slow start to the season mainly due to poor weather conditions, the competitions within the club to be finalised this September.

Invitation Day
We welcomed a mixture of AEGC players and guests to our annual Invitation Day including two gents making up one of the 7 groups competing.
The overall winners were Janet Foden, Aileen Martin and their two guests. A very respectable score of 81 was also scored by Sandra Taylor, Kurt Foster and their two guests. The winners being decided on a count back.
The rest of the field came in with scores ranging from 67, 70, 72, 74,78.
The weather was kind to us, the rain kept away and the course looked in lovely condition. Alderley Edge Golf Club have lady bakers to rival " Bake Off "
The display and variety was marvellous so a big thank you to those ladies who gave their time and effort to make the day successful.
Finally to the ladies on the desk and helpers throughout the day a huge thanks.

Plate Team Match
The Plate team qualified for the quarter finals. They put in a great effort against Prestbury at Bramhall Park on Monday.
Unfortunately Prestbury won 4/3, a very close match.
Well done all ...... getting to the quarter finals is no mean feat for a relatively small ladies section such as ours.
