Mixed Section Welcome

Mixed Golf is very much part of the culture at Alderley Edge Golf Club ( AEGC ).  Throughout the year a variety of mixed competitions take place including Friday evening roll ups, 9 hole competitions, knockouts and inter-club competitions.  Guests are invited along to participate in the informal events and enjoy the hospitality at AEGC too.

The two key mixed club competitions played in the season are the Barbara Ames and The Centenary Cup.  The Barbara Ames is a knockout competition whereas the prestigious Centenary Cup is played as a stableford format.  Both competitions are open to full members with a WHS Handicap Index.  Finding a partner is never an issue at AEGC.  You just need to sign up and a partner will be identified for you.

The main inter-club knockout competition that runs throughout the year is the popular Archie Preston Trophy.  This is a foursomes competition.  Where possible the strongest players with experience of this format are selected.

Further detail of all the mixed events are posted on the Mixed Golf noticeboard in the Foyer Area, as well as being available in the diary area of the website.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Mixed Golf events throughout the year!
