Ladies Noticeboard

Congratulations go to Gwyn Holt on winning this year’s Bunty Booth competition with one birdie and six pars and a grand total of 42 points.

Runner up was Alison Roberts with 38 points and in third place also with 38 points was Liz Gardner.

In the nine hole competition this week, Terry Broomhall won with 18 points.

Overall there were fantastic scores on the day. Well played everyone.

Congratulations to Alderley Edge’s Ladies B Team, who successfully made it into the semi finals of the ECICS Ladies B team competition, following their 4/3 win against Chorlton on Monday 22nd August at Northenden.

They are now playing either Bramhall or Alsager in the semi finals at Marple Golf Club on Monday the 5th September.

The B team players were:

Celia Berent, Gwyn Holt, Julie Ricketts, Valerie Hornsby, Marion Hall, Jo Pratt and Karen Pennington ( Captain)

Congratulations go out to our August Medal and nine hole Stableford winners, for the great scores they achieved this week.

The Division 1 winner was Olwen Davies with a nett 70. Runner up was Karen Pennington with a nett 74.

The Division 2 winner was Justine Jackson with a nett 70. Runner up was Claire Roberts with a nett 74.

In the 9 hole competition, Angela Atkinson won with 18 points on a count back. Runner up was Alison Roberts also with 18 points.

Well done to Olwen Davies and Rose Ramahlo, who both got birdies. Olwen got a 4 on the par 5 first hole and Rose achieved a 2 on the 4th hole.

Next week is our annual Bunty Booth Stableford competition. Good luck to everyone who is playing.

Lady Captain

On Friday the 5th August, the ladies held their Club Championship. They competed in a 36 hole medal competition. This was a new addition to the ladies calendar for 2022, with a purpose of adding further challenge and competition.

On the day, the overall scratch winner was Lady Captain, Janette and overall net winner was Lesley Smith.

Well done to everyone who took part. Although tough, a fun day was had by all.
