Ladies Noticeboard

It was a busy day all round on Tuesday with 3 different competitions going on.

I am delighted to announce that our Final Medal Winner was Justine Jackson with 72 points. Runner up was Tracy Smith  with 74 points and in third place Julie Ricketts with 76 points

In the 18 hole Subsidiary Stableford competition, Marion Hall won with 34 points on a count back. Runner up was Jean Walker, also with 34 points and in third place Alison Roberts with 32 points. There were birdies in this competition too for Lisa Burns, Alison Roberts and Marion Hall.

Finally, in the 9 Hole Stableford Competition, Liz McGuire won with 16 points.

Congratulations and well done to you all.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone out on Tuesday playing in the 9 hole and 18 hole Stableford competitions.

A big thank you to LP, Mary for a most enjoyable day.

Congratulations Gwyn on your awesome score of 40 points to win the competition.

Well done to Alison, with 38 points as runner up and Lesley Smith with 37 points in 3rd place.

Congratulations to Terry for winning the 9 hole competition with 21 points and Liz McGuire as runner up with 20 points.

Nearest the line was Claire Roberts and nearest the pin on the 6th hole was Jo Pratt.

LP invited everyone back to the clubhouse in the evening for the presentation and a complementary drink and very tasty canapés.

Congratulations go to Liz Gardner for winning the 18 hole Stableford competition last Tuesday, in challenging circumstances from what I have heard- tractors on the greens!

Well done to Rose Ramahlo for being runner up and Sue Kendrick for achieving 3rd place.

In the 9 hole Stableford competition, congratulations go to Jean Walker with an amazing score of 21 points.

It just goes to show how resistant the Alderley Edge Ladies are as the competition has to be changed at the very last minute and they still produced some excellent golf. Long term we will all benefit from the drainage project.

Well done to Sue Freeman in the 18 hole Stableford competition on Tuesday with a winning score of 37 points. Runner up was Tracy Smith with 36 points and in 3rd place Julie Ricketts, on a count back, with 34 points.

Congratulations to Rose Romahlo for winning the 9 hole Stableford with 18 points.

Two birdies were achieved this week:

Julie Ricketts with a 2 at the 15th hole and Karen Pennington with a 4 at the 10th hole.

Well done to Sue Kendrick for winning this year's Brenda Hendry PAR Competition with a fabulous score of +4, remembering that she was playing match play against the course, which does not make any human errors. Runner up was Lesley Smith with +4 too, well done Lesley.

It is worth noting that of the 16 competitors, 7 of the players managed to beat the course.

Well done to Jo Pratt for achieving a birdie 2 on the 8th hole and Lady Captain for a birdie 4 on the 12th hole.

The winner of the 9 Hole Competition was Terry Broomhall with an amazing 24 points.
