Alderley Edge Golf ClubLady Captain, Fiona Anderson, hosted her Captain's Day on 11th July. Despite the poor weather forecast most of the ladies who went out in the morning managed to stay dry. Sadly, the same could not be said of the afternoon.
The rain bucketed down and we had a short break for thunder and lightening.
Meeting at the clubhouse in the evening for " cocktails and canapes ", the prizes were awarded to Lisa Burns with a fantastic score of 42 and to Tracy Smith with an equally impressive score, only losing on count back. Mary O'Toole won the 9 hole competition, Tracy Smith was nearest the pin and Sue Freeman nearest the line.
Many thanks to to the Clubhouse Team and the Greens Team for their support. Their obvious hard work contributed greatly to this day.
