The Beetlestone Bowl

Dave Slater and Stephen Saunders were the proud winners of the Beetlestone Bowl one of the most popular competitions in the year for the Seniors.

They came in with 45 points but were hard pushed by the field and in particular their playing partners Trevor Rathbone and Malcolm Lowery. However it was Don Crawshaw and Niall Golding who clinched second place with 41 points.

Congratulations to all who participated

Seniors Christmas Lunch

Plenty of Photos from the Seniors Christmas Lunch on Thursday 11th December.  An excellent turnout and thanks to Mr. Captain for his contribution and to John Williams for talking through the accounts.

Special mention was made of Jack Unsworth as it was to be his 98 birthday within the week.

Thanks to Trevor Rathbone for taking the photos.

AEGC BANK HOLIDAY COURSE USAGE¶

AEGC BANK HOLIDAY COURSE USAGE

Through BRS, course usage on the recent Bank Holidays has been monitored.

There is a greatly increased demand for bookings from both members and visitors on a Bank Holiday, mostly using the on-line booking system. Green fee income is important and the club needs to have all tee times fully utilised throughout the day.

Unfortunately on both April 21st (Easter Monday) and May 4th turnout for the Seniors Roll up was very low, resulting in unused tee times. For future Bank Holidays, therefore, all Seniors who want to play in the Roll-up should book, either on BRS or through the Professional, before the preceding Thursday.

After this date any unbooked tee times will be released back into general reservations, allowing access to all members and visitors. Senior members will, of course, be able to play but, if they have not signed up, they will no longer have priority for the early morning times.
